Coral Undefeated Sports Stars
Coral Undefeated Sports Stars - Tom Paddon Media
Here’s how I made a glowing illustrated animation video for Coral. Looking for a freelance animator and motion designer? Drop me a message today!
Jab, jab, jab, right hook! The betting giant, Coral, wanted to champion athletes and sports stars that were unbeaten in their field. It deservedly needed some sh*t-hot motion graphics, and that’s where we came in!
About the Project
Phew, where to start with this one? We’ve got a whole mix of Cinema 4D, After Effects and Octane goodness with this project; blend that seamlessly with hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation and you’ve got one heck of a project.
After receiving some class animated illustrations from Roger Wade, we set to work. Once we’d layered them up in After Effects, we added pops, splashes and other bits of eye candy here and there to really sell the movement and high-class calibre of the piece and sports stars.
Next up, we took our work over into Cinema 4D where we can really have some fun. Dropping each layer in, we could generate glows, sparks, bokeh and much more using the fantastic Octane Render (the digital equivalent of beer goggles). Octane gave us some luuuvely effects that really helped sell the piece. It also allowed us to completely art direct it to our liking.
With a few render iterations in the bag, we arrived at an agreeably tasty looking final result. What I really like about this piece of work is the balanced mix of motion graphics splashes and high-Octane goodness.
